The Perpetual Search for Perfect Swimwear

Swimsuit shopping with my new “mom” body has been quite a nightmare…can you relate? Here’s this week’s post for the Greeley Moms:

What do you think? Have you had a similar experience? Thanks for reading and sharing!

  1. It’s very clear I will never wear a bikini again. However, I found a nice one piece from Victoria’s Secret that helps flatten the tummy, comes in DD cups, has underwire, and is somewhat flattering without being too risqué.

  2. Ha. So right. I’ve been wondering what kind of swimsuit to get. I have a bikini from pre-pregnancy which is definitely (definitely) not going to work anymore, still I hesitate at a one piece. I might have to check out the tankini options.

    • I hope your shopping experience is better than mine. There are actually some really cute links other bloggers have posted–I should have looked at those! Good luck. It’s just a strange feeling to shop with a new perspective after having kids. Target is where I eventually found my decently cute tankini. I even managed to try it on and buy it with the kids in tow. It was quite the miracle! Always good to hear from you!

  3. I will NEVER be able to wear a bikini again. My twin skin refuses to budge. I’ve lost 10 kilos since the twins were born, but the wrinkly pouch remains. I don’t mind it anymore. My kids laugh when they give it a jiggle and I say it’s all their fault that I have a flabby belly!

    • I love to hear that you don’t mind it anymore. I’m getting there. The first year after I had my girls it really bothered me, but now I’m learning to accept it and let it go. There are more important issues in life than a wrinkly tummy! And I wouldn’t trade my twins for the world, so I guess it’s a tiny thing to no longer wear a bikini. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I got one from Target!
Only problem is that I got it too big. I got a Large to avoid too much cleavage. Looking for a swimsuit with a lopsided chest is awful lol. I swear they are an entire size or two different from each other.

    • Ooh that is so cute!! I love it! I’ll have to go back and add some links to my original post of these cute swimsuits–that gives me hope! And that is too funny about the cleavage. What a crazy problem to have! I wish I had some helpful advice for you. So crazy!!
